For the three or four people who actually read these posts – sorry for the formatting mess that’s been going on the last month or so.
No, it wasn’t me experimenting with weird type treatments or purposely trying to break the layout. WordPress, which this site is running on, just updated to a new editing engine – which is really fantastic – but it broke many of the plugins I was using to adjust the bare-bones theme the site design is based on. I went in and edited the theme CSS to get everything back to normal, but about a week ago, the theme I’m using was updated to work better with the new engine – essentially overwriting all the style rewrites I just did. The lesson here is if you’re going to rewrite a theme’s CSS, create a separate style sheet that won’t get overwritten when the theme updates.
You’d never know I actually do digital design for a living, but thanks for putting up with the mess (if you actually saw it) and this geeky post.
