Although things slowed down a great deal for the holidays, 2019 started with a bang as Andrew at Stillwater sent me over the first official presentation of the floor plans and elevations – and it is awesome!
Below is the living level floor plan, followed by the front and a side elevation.
Overall, I’m very excited to see it all come together and only had minor feedback on the floor plan (as I stated a few posts ago, I already liked the plan they were using as a basis for this). Most of the feedback centered around moving a closet, making use of the dead corner in the kitchen and ditching the steam shower for a tub and smaller stall shower in the master bedroom. I really love how grand the stairs are down to the second level, which really opens up the center spine hallway. Also how the stairway entry centers with the opening to the kitchen/dining/living rooms. I didn’t include the second level plans for the wood shop and gym space, as I think that still needs a little work – really just eliminating stuff I don’t need and defining each space a little more.
Next steps are to action against my feedback as well as any of the feedback coming from engineering or geology as well as some outstanding answers from the city that Stillwater is hunting down. After that, plans get locked down so everything (materials, foundations, construction, etc.) can be estimated to reach a total project cost.
